What is Therapy?

Each of us has a story to tell, and sometimes we will experience times where the current chapter feels like a struggle. It might be that the struggle is due to a specific event or relationship, or it might be that you’ve been struggling for a while and things are starting to feel too much. Therapy is a space for you to share your story, in a non-judgemental space, and to explore how you can make the changes you need.

Therapy is a place where you can bring whatever challenges you are facing, and I will listen, support, and help work alongside you to resolve them. You might be struggling with anxiety or depression, or have trouble with a relationship. Things at work might feel too much, or you may have experienced a bereavement. You might be trying to navigate some changes in your life, or are feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Sometimes we just don’t feel like we like life right now and can’t understand what is wrong. Whatever you want to bring, therapy is a confidential space where it is safe to do so.

I work as an integrative therapist, so I tailor our work to your needs. Your needs are at the centre of our time together. I believe in working holistically so that change can impact all of you, and your life. It’s important to me that you feel safe and comfortable, and that our sessions are a place you want to come to.

I offer a free telephone call as an initial meeting. We will then have an assessment session where we meet and decide whether we would like to work together. It’s important that you find the right therapist for you - if we’re not the right fit, that’s okay too. If we decide to work together, therapy will be on a weekly basis for an hour. My charge is £50 per session.
